Karate is a Japanese term for Martial Arts Developed in Japan
Shotokan is the 1st Karate style of Japan. Developed by Master Gichin Funkoshi in 1922, It became the most popular and famous of all the Japanese Karate's. Shotokan is now the most widely practiced style of Karate in the world today. A school of Karate from the Shotokan Style is called Shotokai Karate. In the beginning of Shotokan the highest Degree possible was Black Belt 5th Degree. While today in some styles of Shotokan the highest is 10th Degree Black Belt the higher belts added along with color belts. In Red Dragon Shotokan 5th Degree Black Belt is the highest rank possible.
Using hard style power and quick attacks Red Dragon Shotokan is a very effective and respected Karate. If that wasn't enough the use of weapons like Nunchuka's, Sai's, Tanfa's and Bo Staff makes it even more dangerous to anyone who faces a Red Dragon Shotokan Black Belt. Shotokan is practiced with power and the use of Katas or Forms makes it a very interesting and artistic. Shotokan is very famous for its forms with many other styles are using Shotokan forms for training. There are many different styles and off shoots of Shotokan. Anyone who is a Black Belt in Shotokan is a part of the great history and tradition of Japan.

Kenpo Karate
Ed Parker was born in Hawaii on March 19, 1931 and developed Kenpo before Hawaii became a part of the United States. When Master Ed Parker Died there was a reorganization of the International Kenpo Karate Institute. From this Reorganization came many offshoots of the Kenpo Style.
